HiMO Club
HiMO Club was born out of passion for dance and fitness! We had a dream of creating a top class dance and fitness studio in Helsinki, geared for unique and individual feeling. From spring 2011 HiMO Club has been offering classes combining joy of dance, keeping fit and feeling great! We want to offer our customers wonderful experiences and we believe you can find a class just fit for you from our wide selection. Our instructors are among the best in their respective fields – dance and fitness are the way of living and a calling for our team!

Location
HiMO Club is located in the centre of Helsinki, just a few minutes’ walk from Kamppi. You can reach us by metro (Kamppi), by tram (6 along Bulevardi and 3B to the corner of Albertinkatu and Fredrikinkatu) or by bus (14 runs on Albertinkatu and 20 on Bulevardi). Our address is Lönnrotinkatu 32D35, you can find our studio at the back of the inner courtyard.

Levels
One diamond classes are perfect for beginners in dance or in exercise in general. You don’t need any previous experience in dance to come along!
Two diamond classes are for those who have some experience in dance, fitness or exercise and want to enjoy a bit longer choreos. In these lessons you’ll learn a lot new and discover even more!
Three diamond classes are a dream come true for all who enjoy a bit of a challenge and like to improve themselves in dance and fitness.
Remember, if you end up in a class that doesn’t seem right for you, we can always move you to another class that you prefer! The main thing is to enjoy the classes and have fun!

Once you have chosen your class, you enrol by emailing us at info@himoclub.fi, or if you can read a bit of Finnish go to Enroll (in Finnish) where you can fill out the enrolment form. You will see the classes, times and prizes by clicking the drop down menu under “1. Valitse haluamasi tuntipaketti”. We will get back to you in a few days time with payment details and other information to get the most out of your classes!

Balletone® – something for everyBODY!
Balletone® is a combination of classic ballet movements, pilates and yoga that suits for anyone. Balletone® is great for your balance, posture and coordination.
Bollywood
Hugely popular in Finland, this mix of classic and folk dances from India and Western influences is the heart and soul of Indian movies, it’s dramatic, cheeky and sexy all at once.
Burleskitanssi (Burlesque Dance) – for Real Women!
Burlesque had made a long journey from vaudeville theatres of 19th century to glamour times of 40′s and 50′s and to neo burlesque of the 21st century. Today a burlesque performer can be any age, size, shape, gender – it’s the attitude, skill and humour that make all the difference! The Burlesque Dance at HiMO is all about shimmy, shake, bump and grind, and we learn basic technique and small choreographies, all while still keeping our clothes on at the classes.
Charleston – swing it!
Charleston is the mother of all swing dances, with its origins in the 1920′s. Charleston is full of good mood, fun and laughter! It has a bit of cabaret and glamour in it, and definitely a lot of jazz and rhythm!
DanceWorkout
Easy but effective dance workout mixing dancehall, hip hop, salsa, soca, jazz, show, bollywood and almost anything else. Starting with soft warm up, moving on to low-low choreos and then to full blast dance!
Dancehall Fever – mi won dance!
Dancehall is one of the hottest and trendiest dances out there right now! Origins are in Jamaica and in reggae, and in Dancehall Fever classes we throw in a bit of hip hop, afro and Latin dances. Dancehall is hot, sexy, steamy and pure fun!
Fit Yoga – for mind and body
Fit Yoga is a wonderful fusion of tai chi, pilates and yoga. We use a lot of calm and effective exercises to build strength, flexibility, concentration and bring on relaxed feeling.
FitnessPilates – time proof.
Pilates is hugely popular worldwide and great for anyone interested in improving their flexibility, coordination, core strength, balance and endurance. With FitnessPilates your posture will improve too and you will end up feeling more relaxed and balanced!
Hawaiian Hula
Dance from Polynesia, especially Hula is beautiful, feminine and harmonious. At classes we get to know traditional and modern variations of exciting dances from beautiful paradise islands!
Hiljainen Venyttely (Quiet Stretching) – zzzzzz…
Stretching helps your muscles to recover after work out and is good for your muscle balance and flexibility. There is a simple warm out and comprehensive stretching on this class, finishing up with relaxation exercise.
Hip Hop Yoga – yo-yo-yoga!
For the first time in Finland we have the age old yoga combined with hip hop! Yoga brings balance for mind and body, but we throw in hip hop bounce and arm waves. The classes are designed to go through asanas important to women’s wellbeing.
Hollywood Classics
Choreos straight from the golden era of Hollywood musicals, this lessons will make you feel like a real life chorus line girl, if not the star herself. Jazz, soft shoe step and much more.
Hoopdance – hoop like no-one’s watching!
Hoopdance is fairly new in Finland, but growing in leaps and bounces. Hooping improves your coordination, balance and rhythm. Hoopdance is fun and suits for anyone – it’s easy to start and you don’t need any dance background to get hooked on hoops!
Housedance
Jacking – lofting – stomping – skating! Do we need to say more?!
Jam! – do it now.
Our Jam! classes are a cool mix of different street and hip hop styles. Even a bit of break dance is thrown in, making it a great dance and workout class!
JustJazz
Jazzdance combined to showdance, modern dance and spiced up with latin dances.
Nia® – Body’s Way.
Nia® is the first fusion fitness programme in the world, combining dance, martial arts and fitness and relaxations exercises. Nia is creative and fun, and brings balance for your body and soul.
Oriental Pop – shimmy baby!
Oriental Pop combines bellydance to other dance styles including show dance, bollywood, hip hop and jazz. Based on bellydance technique we go through energetic dance routines suitable for beginners and those who have danced a bit of bellydance before.
Piloxing® – sleek, sexy, powerful!
Piloxing® is a super combination of pilates, boxing and dance! Popularity of Piloxing is growing fast and no wonder, it’s fun but also a great work out!
Reggaetón
Hot reggae and dancehall combined with cool hip hop.
Salsatón
Wild moves straight from the streets of Cuba, this dance is full of joy and energy! A mix of Salsa and Reggaetón.
Salsa Vibes
Salsa is originally from Cuba and Salsa Vibes brings you hot rhythms, Latin feel and exciting combinations!
Shaky Vibes – shake it baby!
Shaky Vibes is rhythm, sweat and smiles! We shake our way through Jamaican dancehall, Cuban reggaetón, salsa and hip hop.
Sizzling Latina – show what you’ve got, woman!
Sizzling Salsa is super feminine dance based on salsa. This lesson is good for those who are beginners with salsa, we won’t do long complicated routines.
